Autotask PSA: Modifying the "Auto-Disable Sync" of Projects

In order to optimize performance, projects that have been marked with a status of "Cancelled" or "Completed" for 60 days or more will have their sync to Autotask PSA automatically disabled. This is a setting that can be modified to best suit the needs of your organization. To update this setting:

  1. Go to the More Options menu in the left navigation, and select the Integrations option.
    LeftNav-MoreOptions

    MoreOptionsMenu_Integrations

  2. The Integrations dialog opens. Click into the Autotask integration option.

  3. The Autotask Integration dialog opens. Click the Advanced Settings button in the lower left corner of this screen.

  4. The Advanced Settings dialog opens. Here, the number of days that precede the auto disabling of projects with a status of "Closed" or "Cancelled" may be adjusted. By default this will be set to 60 days, but this can be extended up to 90 days. Click Apply to save settings, then Save in the overall configuration screen.

  5. There are two ways to reactivate the sync of a project which has been automatically disabled. It's important to note that in order to remain activated, the project will either need to be moved to an "active" status (Planning, In Progress or On Hold) or the number of days before which the project is auto-archived needs to be adjusted in settings (as described above) to a number of days greater than the number in which the given project has been in an "inactive" status. The first place to reactivate is in the Autotask Integration Configuration dialog, by checking the Enable box in line with that project.

The second is in the project itself, by clicking into More Options in the upper navigation.

Next, select Autotask Integration Information from the dropdown menu.

The Autotask Project Sync dialog will open. Click the checkbox in the bottom of this dialog to reactivate the sync.
