A listing of work types is available to be applied to tasks in Moovila, and is populated via Charge Types in HaloPSA. This data comes over as a one-way sync into Moovila. Learn more about applying work types below. Click on any of the table of content links below to jump to that section:

Applying or Modifying the Work Type Default at the Task Level
- Within Power Grid view in the Task Overview or in a specific project, there is a column for Work Type Default. To add this column, click on the Column Display icon.
- The Column Display dropdown opens. Scroll down and click on the Work Type Default option.
- The Default Work Type column now displays in the Power Grid. Click into this column for a task to apply or modify a default work type. Any time entry associated with this task will have this work type set as its default.
- The work type may also be modified in the Time Log by following the same steps.
Using Work Types in the Time Log
- To view work types In the Time Log, first ensure that this column has been added. To add it, click on the Column Display icon in the upper navigation, and select the Work Type option from the dropdown menu.
- Work Type may be modified here by clicking on the existing entry.
- To filter based upon the work type, click into the Filter panel and use the Work Type dropdown to limit the work types displaying.
- To group based upon the work type, click on the Group icon in the upper navigation and select Work Type from the dropdown menu.
- To sort based upon the work type, click on the header of the Work Type column.
Using Work Types in Expense DynaCharts
- In either the Project Portfolio or at project level, click on the View icon, then select the Dashboard view from the dropdown menu.
- The Dashboard view opens. Click on the edit icon to add a new Dynachart panel.
- The Edit Dashboard dialogue opens. Click the Add Panel icon to add a new Dynachart panel.
- The Dashboard Panel Editor opens. Click on the dropdown menu to select the type of panel you wish to add. Choose a DynaChart from the listing. In addition to the name, these are indicated by a lightning bolt icon.
- The Dashboard Panel Editor opens. Use the Group options to set Work Type as a group or sub-group (e.g.: group by Project, sub-group by Work Type) for the DynaChart. Click Apply to save the dashboard panel.
