Why it matters: Setting a status to "blocked" is the equivalent of raising a red flag. It communicates to the team that the task at hand can not be finished without help. Until the issue that is blocking the work is resolved, work will not resume, impacting the project's completion date.
In the example below, a delay to the "Review Q4 Plan Performance" SmartTask's deadline would impact the three downstream tasks awaiting its completion.
