Salesforce: Integration Overview

Integration with Salesforce allows opportunity data to be brought into Moovila for project creation, resource forecasting, and more. Here's how to connect the two:

  1. Before starting the configuration, make sure you have created product records in Moovila for each of the Salesforce products you intend to have the synchronization monitor, and have also associated each of these products to a Moovila project template.
  2. From the Moovila homescreen, click on the More Options icon at the bottom of the left navigation.

  7. Authenticate to Salesforce in the dialogue window that appears. Once authenticated, this window closes. Enter a password and click the Log In button to proceed. The previous screen will update to show that the data is being synced. It may take a moment for this process to run, depending on the amount of data.

  8. The next phase of the integration wizard will set up product mapping and flows. Essentially, this is where each product in Salesforce is associated with a product in Moovila. To begin, select a product in Salesforce from the dropdown menu, and then select the corresponding product in Moovila. Then, click the Add Workflow link in-line with the product to associate a workflow with this product.

  9. The Product Workflow dialogue opens. This is where you will indicate at which stage in the sales process you would like to import the Salesforce opportunity records containing this product into Moovila. Click on the Select Stage dropdown to expand it.

  10. The stages display in order, top to bottom, from the earliest stage to the closing stages. In this example we're selecting the Needs Analysis stage. This means that once an opportunity is moved into or past this phase, that opportunity will be brought into Moovila. It also means that as it progresses through the sales cycle it will continue being updated Moovila to keep it in sync. Once the stage has been selected, click the Done button to proceed..

  12. The next step in the wizard opens--the Opportunity Sync. This is where you will indicate the date range for the opportunities that you are bringing into Moovila. Use the date picker to choose the date after which the opportunities’ Created Date or Modified Date must be on or after to be picked up by the sync.

  15. Once opportunities have synced, they can be found by clicking the Opportunities icon in the left navigation. Learn more about tracking opportunities here. All opportunities synchronized from Salesforce will be read-only.
