Managing a Project: Using the Timeline View for Projects - Gantt Features

Viewing projects in Timeline or Gantt view provides information-dense layout with several options for display and printing.

  1. Open the project you wish to view. Click on the View menu and select Timeline (Gantt Chart) from the dropdown menu.

  2. The Timeline view opens. Note that you may drag the center line to the right or left to display more or less of the grid view panel on the left side of the screen. By default all information is being displayed in the Gantt chart. 

     
  3. To turn off/on elements of the display, click on the More Options icon in the upper navigation to open the dropdown menu, and then toggle on/off the Show Gantt Object Labels and/or the Show Gantt Dependency Lines options. See display options below.

  4. Once the desired view has been achieved, the Timeline / Gantt chart may be printed to PDF. To do so, click on the More Options menu, and select the Save as PDF option.

  5. The PDF Settings opens. From here you may modify the orientation, zoom, page size, etc. of your Timeline.

     
  6. Note that if the document extends to several pages it will print in panels. An example of how these panels will come together is below.
