There are two ways to move phases:
Option 1 allows you to move phases within a project:a. Open a project. Select the Power Grid view from the upper navigation, then click on the Re-order icon in the upper right corner.
b. The project shifts into Re-Order Phases and Tasks mode.
c. Once the blue arrows have appeared at the far right side of phases, you may "grab" the phase and begin dragging and dropping it into its new location. A panel will appear to tell you, specifically, where this phase will be moved.
d. Do not release the “click” until the phase has been dragged into the proper location, then release to drop it. Once it is in place, click Save to keep your changes.
Option 2 allows you to move phases within or between projects:a. Open a project. Select the Power Grid view from the upper navigation, then click right click on the phase you wish to move (or control-click on a Mac). A dropdown panel opens. Select Move a Phase.
b. The dialogue to move a phase opens, displaying the phase that you wish to move. Click on the Target Parent Phase button to select the destination for this phase.
c. A listing of project opens. First find the project you wish to move the phase to (it may be the same project you are in now). Click the expand button to the left of the project's name to view phases and sub-phases of the projects. Then click the Select button that corresponds to the project and phase into which the original phase will be moved.
d. Click the Move button to send the phase to its new location.
NOTE: Moving a phase from one project to another project will remove the phase from the original project. If you would like to copy one phase from a project to another, first duplicate phase, and then move the copy to a new project.
- Deleting a Phase:
a. Open the project in Power Grid view. Right click on the phase you wish to delete. A dropdown menu opens, select Delete Phase from the menu.
b. Note that prior to deleting a phase, all SmartTasks and sub-phases within the phase must have been deleted or moved. Additionally, if a HaloPSA or ConnectWise integration is being used, phases that contain associated time entries can no longer be deleted. All time entries must be deleted prior to deleting the tasks/phase. c. The Confirmation window opens. Click Yes to proceed with the deletion.
