Publishing Dashboard Layout Templates

Dashboard layouts are available across all dashboard types--Tasks, Project Detail, and Project Portfolio. Learn how to create a dashboard layout here. Layouts can be published as templates, allowing other users to leverage the panels and setup. Note that though a layout may be shared, users will still view only the data that they have rights to see in their own dashboard.

1. To publish a dashboard layout, click the Edit icon.
   
2. Navigate to the layout that will be published.
   
3. Click the Details icon.
   
4. The Layout Details window opens. Check the Publish Layout as a template for other users box. Enter a name (required) and description for the layout template, then click Apply to close the window and move to the next step.
   
    
5. Click Save to complete the process and save the layout template.
   
    
6. The layout template will now be available as an option when users add a new layout to their dashboards.
