ConnectWise: Project Phase & Task Ordering Between Moovila and ConnectWise PSA

Moovila now supports synchronization of project phase and task ordering with ConnectWise PSA, ensuring that the structure and sequence of your project in ConnectWise reflects the order defined in Moovila.

Direction of Sync

• Initial Sync from ConnectWise to Moovila will honor the order of the ConnectWise phases and tasks on the project as the Moovila project is being created.
• During the on-going sync, the order of tasks and phases will sync from Moovila to ConnectWise only. Any structural updates made in Moovila will be pushed to ConnectWise to ensure consistent ordering.

 

Key Behaviors to Know

• Ordering Enforcement: Moovila becomes the source of truth for task and phase order. After import, changes made to task/phase order in ConnectWise will not affect Moovila.
• Task Additions in ConnectWise. If a task is added to a phase directly in ConnectWise, Moovila will place the task at the bottom of that phase when syncing. After you re-order the tasks in Moovila (if needed), the updated order will be reflected back in ConnectWise on the next sync.
• New Tasks Created in Moovila. Tasks created in Moovila and assigned to a phase will appear in ConnectWise in the same position defined in Moovila.
• Reordering in Moovila. Changing the order of tasks or phases in Moovila will restructure the project in ConnectWise during the next sync cycle.

Best Practices

• Always make project structural and order changes in Moovila to ensure an accurate reflection of the project hierarchy and sequencing in ConnectWise.

• If you must add phases and/or tasks to the project from ConnectWise, be sure to review their order in Moovila after they have been synced and adjust as needed.
