Version 25.0 - Release Notes

Version 25.1.57615, released March 3, 2023 EST.

The following new features are available in this latest release of Moovila.

  • Enhanced Flexibility Surrounding Teams: In this version of Moovila, Teams essentially become a convenience for optional security or grouping team members.
    • Tasks can now be assigned to an individual without a team. If they do have teams, the Person Picker will present those teams as optional choices.
    • People added to projects are now able to see all tasks regardless of their team (task visibility can be fine-tuned via the Task Privacy Setting).
    • Tasks do not require that owners or resource types are added
    • Chat may be accessed for any visible task within a project

NOTE:  To Remove an existing user from a task, click the trash can icon in the upper left corner of the Person Picker.

  • Dependency Builder: Type to enter dependencies, adding predecessor and successor detail for tasks.
    • Multiple tasks may be entered as predecessors or successors by adding a comma between line numbers.
    • The following dependency types are available by entering the short code alongside the task's line number.
      • Start-to-Start: SS (e.g. a start-to-start dependency on a task in row 87 would be entered as 87SS)
      • Finish-to-Finish: FF (e.g. a finish-to-finish dependency on a task in row 87 would be entered as 87FF)
      • Lag: +x"unit of time" where time units are abbreviated as "y" "m" "w" "d" (e.g. a lag of 3 days on a task in row 87 would be entered as 87+3d)
      • Lead: -x"unit of time" where time units are abbreviated as "y" "m" "w" "d" (e.g. a lead of 3 months on a task in row 87 would be entered as 87-3m)
  • Improved PDF Report Creation: In the My Tasks Power Grid or any dashboard view, when users select the "Save as PDF" option, a new PDF configuration form appears, allowing for customization of the information displayed in the report.
    • Users may adjust page size, orientation, choose to show page numbers or dates, zoom out to show more information, and control the image quality (and thus the file size).
    • Grid panels will expand to show all of the rows available (up to 200 pages), and will only display columns that are visible in the dashboard display.
  • Increased Flexibility in Visual Arrangement in Product Portfolio or My Task Dashboards: Hitting edit allows ability to drag and drop or increase/decrease panel size horizontally or vertically using indicators.
    • Via More Options, users can reset panel height.
  • Labor Dynachart: In project portfolio dashboards, specific info related to labor quantity can now be used in creating visualizations.
    • Labor Dynacharts display information regarding what was budgeted and hours logged against a project.
    • Targets may be set by project, cost code, resource type, and task.
