Version 38.5 - Release Notes

In this version of Moovila, released on April 4th, 2025, the following updates were made:

Autotask Time Syncing: Data for time entries now flows between Moovila and Autotask. There are a few adjustments to settings that need to occur for this to function correctly, as well as a couple of things to keep in mind with this functionality.

• Settings Updates:
  • Within Autotask the following settings should be in place:
    • • • Within Security Levels for the API user, the following should be marked under Time Entry Permissions in the "Projects" section:
          • • Can modify Non-Billable setting on task and issue time entries
            • Can modify Show on Invoice setting on task and issue time entries
            • Can modify Work Type on task and issue time entries
        • Under System Settings' Timesheets settings, the option for "Allow users to create time entries that cross midnight" selected.
    • Within Moovila and Autotask, the Time Rounding increment configurations should be set to one minute. In Moovila, this can be adjusted via Enterprise Settings, accessible in the More Options menu in the left navigation.
• Keep in Mind:
  • • Billable/Non-Billable within Moovila: Billable/Non-Billable status for time entries is set in Autotask by the associated work type on the time record. Although a checkbox appears in Moovila to mark entries billable/non-billable, it will not impact Autotask records. In a future release, this checkbox will be greyed out in Moovila.
    • Projects Contracts: When a project has the following Contract Types, the Autotask API dos not allow the ability to send over billable time entries (although they may be sent as non-billable): Fixed Fee Contract, Recurring Service Contract.
    • Timesheets: Time entries cannot be added or edited for the time period associated with a timesheet that has been approved and posted in Autotask.

Minor Releases + Hotfixes:

• 4/9/25: This release contained updates to Autotask time and notes syncing.
• 4/10/25 (Hotfix): This hotfix resolves a bug wherein ConnectWise integrated projects were not accurately updating their percent complete.
• 4/10/25 (Hotfix): This hotfix sets the Moovila Project ID field with the Autotask Project ID within the first sync of project from Moovila to Autotask.
