Version 32.0 released December 1, 2023 EDT.


ConnectWise Integration Enhancements:

  • Scheduled Events / Resources: "Schedule Items" are now available in Moovila, and sync bi-directionally with ConnectWise's "Resources and Meetings" on individual tasks/tickets. Schedule items with associated dates will also appear in the Project Dispatch Portal.

    • Within the Schedule dialogue individuals or resource types can be scheduled for dates, times, and quantities.
    • Scheduling functionality can be accessed via the addition of the "Schedule" column (available for MSP licenses). This column also indicates how many schedule items exist on the task and displays icons denoting late scheduled items and those scheduled outside of the bounds of the start/due date of the associated task.

    • Scheduled items that are late or out of sync can also be filtered down within task Risk dashboard panels.
    • When a schedule event is created on a task, the hours assigned via the schedule event will be deducted from the work estimate for that task. This will allow the ability to assign multiple resources on a single task and distribute the workload across individuals.
    • Schedule items will be considered complete when they are marked as done. If a task is completed, all associated schedule items will also be marked as complete.

  • DRM Enhancements/Modifications: DRM calculations will include all assigned labor types: budget assignments, task work estimates, and schedule items. A new column has been added to the Resource Assignments dialogue to display these labor types.

  • Addition of the Customer Field on Tasks: Customer may now be viewed in the SmartTask detail view, added as a column in the Project or MyTask Power Grids, used to group or filter data within Project or MyTask views, and found for filtering and grouping in Task dashboards. Customers may now be assigned at the task level if a customer has not been defined at the project level.

Other Updates + Enhancements:

  • MSP License SmartTask Detail View Updates: The following fields have been added to this view for MSP license holders: Customer, Schedule, Notes, Skills, Resource Type, and Billing Code.
  • Chat Shortcut: Within Task chat, users may now use "@" and the arrow keys to send a chat message to a specific user. Once the selected user has been identified hit Tab or Enter and the name of the user will be added.
  • Cost Visibility Permission Changes: The following are no longer limited to users with the Cost Visibility permission:
    • Users with access to project details may set Cost Code and Billing Code groups on the project. 
    • Time entries may be marked as "billable" within manual time entries and the Time Log.
  • Notes Functionality: Additional filtering options have been added to dashboards. 
    • Portfolio Notes = Portfolio level notes (not associated to a project or task)
    • Project Notes = Project level notes (not associated to a task, just at the project level)
    • Task Notes = A Note associated with a task 
  • Hotfix (v32.1) 1/24/24:
    • After the first sync, Task Steps between ConnectWise and Moovila's syncs will follow a new logic, which allow for more granular decision making on a step by step basis on which system’s Step data should “win.” This resolves a high priority issue reported, where Task Step (ConnectWise Ticket Task) data edited in ConnectWise via the ConnectWise Tasks tab would be overwritten if the associated Moovila Task was edited and saved.
    • Task status now updates in Moovila if the ConnectWise Time Entry save includes a change to the Task Status (Ticket Status).
