Version 29.0 - Release Notes

Version 29 released August 22, 2023 EDT.

Important Note

In order to correctly process data after the release of new ConnectWise Integration features, all ConnectWise integrations will be automatically disabled following this release and will require a few additional configurations to be set in order to reconnect. Instructions on these steps can be found here.

 

New Features

The following new features are available in this latest release of Moovila. 

  • Enterprise Level Calendar Integration Admin: Within the Integrations Hub, companies will now be able to configure which calendar integrations they would like to enable for employees to use. This will then unlock the ability for employees to link calendars through the associated integration.

  • Task Steps Updates: The Task Steps dialogue has been enhanced with the following:

    • Ability to customize visible columns
    • Export data and print options
    • Column resizing, reordering, and auto-expanding of rows to show all content
    • Ability to reorder steps
    • Icon visualization enhancements within Project Power Grid
    • The maximum length of the Step Name field has been increased to allow up to 50K characters

  • International Date Support: Changes have been made to accommodate additional date formats for clients outside of the US based on the user’s computer settings.

  • ConnectWise Bi-Directional Time Sync: Enterprises using the ConnectWise integration with the time entry sync enabled will now have time bi-directionally synced between ConnectWise and Moovila.

  • ConnectWise Company Type Selection: In the ConnectWise integration configuration, a new tab is available for “Companies” which will pull in the Company Types from the connected ConnectWise instance. The Company Types that are selected will determine the pared down listing of available companies (referred to as customers in Moovila) that can be selected to apply to a project during sync. 
    • Moovila customers will be automatically created, if necessary, and mapped to a ConnectWise company for any ConnectWise project imported. When a Moovila project is initially pushed to ConnectWise, users will select a ConnectWise company to map for that project from a dropdown menu.

  • Moovila to ConnectWise Project Sync: Projects may now be initiated, fully built, and planned in Moovila, prior to syncing to ConnectWise PSA. Within the More Options menu of a project, an additional option is now available labeled "Sync to ConnectWise.” Users will be prompted to input required ConnectWise PSA project values (Due Date, Location, Group, Project Board, Budget Analysis, Billing Method, and Company) before the project is pushed to ConnectWise.

  • ConnectWise Project Disconnection Options: Projects synced with ConnectWise will now have the option to be disconnected, disabling the flow of data between the two systems for the project at hand. This will allow the ability to delete projects out of Moovila without affecting the data within ConnectWise.

  • ConnectWise Overview Configuration Enhancement:  Options are now available on the Overview configuration tab which allows the ability to show archived projects and group/un-group synced projects by Project Board.

  • Tasks Area Visibility Enhancements: Changes have been made within the “Task” area to now pull in any task users have access to via project roles.

  • Timesheet Default Start Date Logic: When a timesheet time entry is created, the start date time will now be set to the default Enterprise Capacity settings. (Enterprise Settings>Work Capacity Default>Typical Work Day)

  • Resource Type Pre-population: When entering time for other users or changing time for an entry, the resource type will now be populated with the associated user’s resource type by default (if there is not a resource type assigned on the task itself).

  • Note Category Duplication Check: When adding Note Categories, there is now a check to prevent duplicate category names.

  • Refresh Button on Project: Within the context of a project, there is now an option to refresh the project.

 

Additional Enhancements + Updates:

  • "Completed By" field has been added to the Smart Task view.
  • When “Move a Phase” or “Duplicate & Move Phase” is selected, the target phase will now exclude archived projects.
  • RPAX Portfolio to Project calculations are now identical.
  • Resource Wizard Capacity now looks across all projects in the enterprise.
  • The shifting dates issue impacting ConnectWise integration users in the UK has been resolved.
  • Enhancements have been made to calculations for Capacity Analysis for Work Estimates and Work Remaining for work in progress
