Version 30.0 - Release Notes

Version 30.0 released October 6, 2023 EDT.

Important Note

In order to correctly process data after the release of new ConnectWise Integration features, all ConnectWise integrations will be automatically disabled following this release and will require a few additional configurations to be set in order to reconnect.

  • ConnectWise Integration Enhancements:
    • Project Type Mapping: The Project Type field in ConnectWise will now be available for mapping to Moovila's Project Category field. This will also mean that Moovila will only require access and read only rights to data tables in ConnectWise going forward--view/edit rights will no longer be necessary. Admins will be prompted to map these fields to reenable their integration following the release.

    • Opportunities Integration: Clients that have purchased a module with CRM Integrations will now have the ability to sync opportunities from ConnectWise Manage.
      • A user must have the CRM Integrations Admin permission in order to see the “Opportunities” tab within their CW configuration.
      • Configuration consists of product mappings, workflow rules, and time period sync options.
      • Once opportunities have hit the specified trigger points, those opportunities will be available within the "Opps" area in Moovila.

  • Timeline View Enhancements:

    • In a project's Timeline (Gantt Chart) view, dependency lines may be turned off, phase and task descriptions may be added via the "show object labels" option. These settings may be found and adjusted under the More Options menu in this view.
    • Project timelines now have additional options for printing to PDF, including the ability to change orientation, paper size, zoom and to print into quadrants for a larger scale output.
  • Dynamic Resource Target Calculation Update: When users are filtered out of DRM data sets, their work contribution is also removed from the total expected work output targets for that visualization.

  • Increased Detail in Project Financials: Both Project Value and Impact fields may now include decimals allowing more specific numbers to be entered. These numbers will display with two decimal points in the Diagnostics panel as well.

Other Updates + Enhancements:

  • CW Project are no longer incorrectly showing as archived (therefore not allowing the ability to re-sync) when the project team is not the ConnectWise default team.
  • Project Attachments are no longer duplicated when projects are copied.
  • “Tasks affected” values are now pulling in appropriately into Project and Portfolio Risk dashboards.
  • Performance has been optimized when  accessing Teams when there is a large dataset of Users/Projects/Tasks.
  • Task notification issues around attachments and task user changes have been resolved.
  • SharePoint icons now distinguish between the SharePoint Site & SharePoint folders when selecting for attachments.
  • Expense Dynacharts print PDF has been corrected to print out in the appropriate style preference (light or dark mode).

Hotfix deployed on 10/9/23:

  • If the ConnectWise exception, “The data passed does not contain all of the necessary parents” occurs when syncing a project to ConnectWise, which can potentially cause on-premise ConnectWise web server CPUs to be overutilized, the syncing of the project will be automatically disabled. An email will be sent to the user that setup the ConnectWise integration in the enterprise and Moovila support will be copied on the email. A support case will automatically be created in to assist in diagnosis.

Hotfix deployed on 10/10/23:

  • The ConnectWise Integration is now properly pulling all of the linked ConnectWise account’s Project Types, so they can be properly mapped in the ConnectWise Integration Configuration Projects screen.
  • If the ConnectWise error, “The data passed does not contain all of the necessary parents” occurs, duplicate Auto-disable emails are no longer sent.
  • Improved ConnectWise error handling.
