Moovila Version 35.5 was released on the evening of August 16, 2024, EST.
The following updates are available in this release: 35.5.70461
-
Integrated, Information-Rich Schedule Views: The Smart Schedule pulls in appointments from ConnectWise, Moovila, and integrated Google or Outlook calendars for a singular, accurate view that considers everything that factors into your workday. The view can simply display these appointments, or there are many other value-adding layers that can be turned on and off to customize the display such as Open Tasks, Task Delay Forecast, Task RPAX Date Variance, Timezone, and Skills. Learn more about these views in our Orientation Video for Smart Schedule, or in this article, Smart Schedule: Basics.
-
Quickly Schedule Appointments: Smart Schedule’s Auto-Schedule functionality can be used to easily find the next available timeslot for an appointment to be scheduled. Additionally, appointments can be added to calendars by dragging and dropping assigned tasks, double clicking, and more. Learn more by watching the Smart Schedule How-To Video: Scheduling, Modifying, and Remove Appointments.
- Understand Delays and Task Health: Use RPAX viewing options to get a more accurate view of when tasks are forecasted for completion based upon the Critical Path. Accurate project plans and full visibility give you the ability to make more informed scheduling decisions and schedule with confidence. Task details are also available when the Smart Schedule is accessed via a specific task, and they display the number of hours assigned to a given task, how many have been scheduled or logged via time tracking to-date, and how many remain.
Before entering the Smart Schedule, permissions must be set to grant access. If a user is Universal Admin in Moovila, these permissions are automatically granted. If a user already had Resource Wizard access via their role, the basic Smart Schedule permission will already be applied.
The permissions break down as follows:
- Smart Schedule: The ability to toggle on Smart Schedule View from Task Owner and Schedule Grid, or to add it to their left navigation. Viewing rights are limited to that user's own Smart Schedule.
- Smart Schedule Admin: The ability to see other users within the Smart Schedule view. Those without admin permission will only see their own calendars in Smart Schedule.
- For both permissions: The ability to manipulate appointments will be consistent with the user's permissions on the project and/or task. If users can access a task and add/edit appointments from other Power Grid views, they can do the same in Smart Schedule.
To add these permissions to other roles outside of the Universal Admin, the following steps will be used:
- Go to the More Options menu on the Homescreen, and click to open, then select the Data Table Maintenance option.
- The Data Table Maintenance screen opens. Click to open the Security Role dialogue.
- Click into a role to modify it, scrolling down to the Special Record Functions section and selecting one or both of the permissions.
- Click Save to commit changes.
